Growing for our community

Greenfingers Charity Giving

As a HTA gift card scheme member, we are supporters of Greenfingers, the charity dedicated to creating beautiful outdoor spaces for children in hospice care centres, their families and friends. This amazing charity has created 55 gardens to date, and funds raised through the sale of national gift cards helps to support the on going work of this charity to ensure magical gardens can be created at more hospices throughout the UK.

Growing for Wellbeing

For over ten years we have been making annual donations of our nursery grown shrubs, perennial and bedding plants to our local Wellbeing of Women branch, to help them raise much needed funds at summer fairs and garden parties.

Inspiring the next generation

Engaging the younger generation is a great part about growing, and we always love to support school related planting projects when we can. At Verwood First School a collection of "pollinator friendly" plants was donated, and planted by parents and pupils to enhance the schools' outdoor spaces and encourage more wildlife.  A donation of apple, pear and plum trees, has been made to Wimborne St Giles First School to establish a new school orchard; and a collection of native trees: Ash, Beech, Maple and Oak, donated to Verwood Trinity School have been planted by the children to mark the naming of the schools' new house names.

Growing funds for the future

With ever increasing pressure on budgets, we know that additional fundraising is important to help buy extra resources within schools, and we have been pleased to donate trees and seasonal plants to

St James' First School and

Three Legged Cross First School to help with their fundraising activities.
